The GIRLS BAND CRY anime revealed a new key visual for its 3rd ONE-MAN LIVE concert. which will be held in Japan on November 2, 2024. The concert is titled “Roar of Melody,” while the visual was drawn by the anime character designer Nari Teshima. The first concert was held shortly after the release of the band’s debut album “TOGEARI” on April 24, while the second concert is scheduled for September 13 this year.
The GIRLS BAND CRY in-show band TOGENASHI TOGEARI performs the concerts, and the band consists of the following members:
- Rina (Iseri Nina) – Vocals
- Yuuri (Kawaragi Momoka) – Guitar
- Mirei (Awa Subaru) – Drums
- Natsu (Ebizuka Tomo) – Keyboard
- Shurias (Rupa) – Bass
A “one-man live” concert refers to a live performance by a single band or artist with no opening acts or supporting performers. While the name suggests a solo performance, it is used for both solo artists and full bands.
Toei Animation handled the animation for the GIRLS BAND CRY original anime, which was voted as the best original anime in our Spring 2024 Anime Awards. Kazuo Sakai directed, with Kenji Tamai as the music composer and Nari as the character designs.
The official YouTube channel for the anime project describes its plot as:
The main character drops out of high school in her second year, and aims at entering a university while working alone in Tokyo.
A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn’t know what to do.
Another girl is abandoned by her parents, and tries to survive in the city by doing part-time jobs.
This world lets us down all the time.
Nothing goes as planned.
But we want something that we can continue to like.
We believe there’s a place where we belong. That’s why we sing.
