Filipino fans are in for a grand pirate adventure as the Philippines’ biggest ONE PIECE anniversary celebration called “Animezing North: ONE PIECE 25th” is set to take place on August 20 at The Block Atrium, SM North Edsa, Quezon City. In partnership with Toei Animation and Funko, SM Fanverse is excited to unveil the legendary 20-foot-tall inflatable of the anime’s iconic character, Straw Hat Luffy.
Described as a weekend of pirate festivals by the fans for the fans, Animezing North: ONE PIECE 25th will have the following highlights:
- Giant Gear 5: Catch Straw Hat Luffy in his most iconic gear yet – the first in the Philippines, made possible by SM Fanverse
- Straw Hat Gallery: Relive 25 years of legendary moments from the ONE PIECE universe through exciting photo walls
- Collector’s Items: Get the first dibs on official merchandise from toys, apparel, collectibles, and more!
The 25th anniversary celebration will kick off with a star-studded opening day with Filipino cosplayers Awie, Prince, and Een who are also big fans of the series. In addition, licensed brands like Funtastik, Toy Kingdom, Havaianas, Geek PH, National Bookstore, Filbar’s, and Funko will be present throughout the event to feature official merchandise and more.
One of the highlights is the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Acrylic Art Board (Volume 1) which features iconic moments of the anime’s first season. See the sneak peek below:

Last year, Animezing North: ONE PIECE 2024 featured a 21-foot-tall Giant Straw Hat Luffy inflatable. This year, the centerpiece will be the legendary 20-foot-tall Luffy in Gear 5, which has already been around the world — from Paris, New York City, Tokyo, and finally, to Quezon City.

ONE PIECE is a manga series by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since July 1997. An anime adaptation by Toei Animation began in 1999, followed by 14 feature films, 13 TV specials, and many more media projects.
